Front Emblem for 85

Body work looks great. Put on my gas door emblem no problem. I now have my hood emblem, however there are no threads on the one I got from Corvette Central. Is there a trick to this. I am sending it back anyways because some of the red is chipped. I thank any

The speed nuts you use cut their own thread

Thats what I thought. Bummer they fell between the hood . Looks like I have to go fishing. Course it wouldnt be working on a vette unless you swore some..LOL

You can buy new speed nuts at most hardware stores.

You can buy new speed nuts at most hardware stores.

The downside is GM uses metric speed nuts, which makes them tougher to find. All the standard speed nuts i tried didn't fit well on the stud so i tapped the stud and used regular nuts.
