This should be very simple, but I’m a little nervous poking around with my screwdriver. The question is, how do you take off the front license cover (I want to mount the license plate behind it)?

There are two screws on the under-side of the cover. The cover actually slides up and down (slightly.....slotted holes I believe) so that you can access them. Just lift up on the cover (bottom half) in the grove between the cover and the lower facias and you should see them. A normal phillips head will do the rest of the work. Good luck!:v

Thanks on the info. I'm going to go semi-legal this weekend (license plate under the cover).

You're welcome....

I'm a "No-front-plate-driver" myself. Good luck on not getting caught!:beer

I was planning on reattaching the front cover on top of the license plate and removing it when I needed to (and hope for mercy from Smokey). But, this may be a better idea.

No problem in the cover falling off (this is my daily driver)?

Does anyone have a EZ Pass mounted to there front LP area? In the DE/MD/NJ area we have EZ pass (a small transmitter that attaches to the front LP to trip the toll meter vs stopping to pay at the toll booth) I have these devices on my other vehicles but i hate to think about installing it on the front of my beautiful black Corvette. has anyone installed the alternat transmitter on the windshield just behind the rearview mirror? This was my preffered method but the company that issues these devices said that they will not work on Corvette windshields due to the metal in the glass.:confused

I have an ez-pass and there is a small area near the mirros that is clear of the copper tinting and the transmitter works just fine. I once had a transmitter that could be mounted outside and I mounted it inside the the nose.

Happy driving, save the wave. :cool :beer :Steer

I mounted my EZ Tag right above my mirror (in the tinted portion of the glass). It is somewhat hidden from the outside and I've had no problems zooming through the toll booth twice a day.

I have my EZ Pass transmitter next to my mirror. Works wihtout any problems!
