I pulled right front tire off and noticed this spacer close to control arm. Not sure if that' factory or not. Somebody let me know.

Also noticed it had yellow colored midas shocks all around. I'm guessing this is not OEM??

Thanks,

R

I had the same spring spacers on my 81. I think they are there so the springs don't bottom out, in other words, springs spacers are cheaper then new springs ;)

Spring spacers are a poor man's way to either correct or restore ride height.

Hmmm, I wonder if the springs need replacing along with the shocks?
I don't know when those shocks were added but they could be old.
Shocks are more towards mile ware, correct and not age...?

If there's just a spacer on one side, then it was probably done to correct side-to-side tilt.

I replaced everything with new shocks and springs. Not that expensive and a lot better and saver to drive :)

Just the front springs? or did u also replace the rear leaf spring?

Also did it mess with your ride height, or was it just the same as the stock set up?
Looks like a lot of bushings, seals probably need to be replaced. Not sure how far I should go.
