I was just looking around this Vette site at some pictures and I was just wondering if you agree that this guy's Vette's front suspension was really high.

What do you think?

It does look high. Although the picture is dim, the back looks like it sits high too, it looks like it's ready to run some trails, or a rally event.

:D Thanks for the verification, just making sure I knew what I was talking about. ;)

Those are nice wheels though. They look like the old Mini-Lites that John Greenwood used to run on his Stars and Stripes L-88 cars.

Yes, they are pretty nice wheels.

Did you guys know that I just got a Vette today? I'm telling everyone. ;) The thread is in the Lounge. I'd like your input! :D

If I can figure out how to use it...

That's great news! You did it the right way too - tons of patience research and questions before you leapt....

....now you can still rack up tens of thousands in credit card debt making up for what the best of intentions didn't find!!! :)

Mine may have put me back in bankruptcy, but it made me feel like I was 55 or 60 again - best thing I ever bought.

You're going to enjoy it - have fun! :beer :_rock :bu

Thanks a lot! I appreciate the kind words. And yes, I'm sure with time she will become a money pit. But...so be it! I'm looking forward to that, too. That money will be money well spent. That's how I look at it. :)

:D That's mine...

Yes the back and front are too high. And I'll tell you why...

The back was just an error on the part of the previous owner. Whiel I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet i know the issue.

The front is too high becuase someone removed the 454 and replaced it with a 350 but did nto bother to change any of the suspension parts. So now I have BB springs with a SB car.

I am currently building up a 454 to go back in so it seems silly for me to change the springs twice.

:D I understand. Do you plan on lowering the back at all? I'm pretty sure it's just a long bolt that you work with. I'm not sure where it is though. Good luck with the engine! :D

Stallion,

are you still looking for a vette? My friend decided to sell his. It's posted in the auction section within this site. I've seen the car myself once. If you don't mind a custom vette, this is a pretty good deal.

Nope, not any more. I have found the one. 1978 Silver Anniversary Corvette. But thanks anyways. And good luck to him in selling the Vette! :)

Awesome and congrads!!! Did you drive it around yet? Is it cool or what?

-Vic

No, we really haven't had a chance to driver her around yet. We haven't registered the Vette yet and until then (which should be in the very very near future) we figure that we should wait. But the day we got it, we took it out for a quick and safe spin. ;) Just down the street. But enough to make me realize that this is the best thing in the world! :D I just love everything about the Vette. The look, the feel, the sound...EVERYTHING! :D
