I am actually having fun replacing the front suspension on the vette! I've never attempted a front end before so I purchased the DVD from Van Steel, great DVD! They even showed one of their errors in the removal...the pros even make mistakes. The biggest problem I am having is seperating the lower ball joints from the lower A-arm. The springs came out easily and safely. A nice surprise was the lack of shims for the upper A-arms, about 3/8" on the passenger side and none on the driver side.

Sorry for the lack of pictures. If anyone remembers my wife and I are going through a divorce and I am not allowed to use the digital camera.

write back when I start the installation.

Hi Jdads2, the ball joints are mounted to the A-arms in one of three ways: riviets,Nuts and bolts, pressed in. On my 72 it was riviets. I drilled them out and the moog replacements came with the bolts to put them back in. I don't know if this helps. tt72 PS, hope the divorce goes smooth! BTDT.

They were installed with rivets. My brother works at a steel parts fabricating plant so he was able to remove them effortlessly. Passenger side is all apart and ready to be prepped.

Thanks for the kind words,
