I have noticed on the thermostat of my dehumidifier in my detached garage, the temperature shown has not dipped below 54 deg f. w/ the doors all shut.
It has been colder than that - in fact, I have opened a bay door and the temp then has dropped lower - closer to air temps...
Is it because the entire back 1/2 of the structure is buried in the "hill" up to 5 ft of the back wall?? Even the sides, up towards the front of the sides, may be as much as 2 ft to 6" depending... I am thinking that the Earth's natural heat is warming it inside when it is all buttoned up - Is this the way it is??? :cool
Thanks

When spring comes you will see a reverse affect; You will not be able to get the temp above 55 if it is buttoned up. It takes a long time for the mass of the concrete and the earth below to warm back up.Later, Tim
