1979 T-Top Corvette
L-48 350 ci
Auto Transmission
90,000 Miles
Red with Black interior.
Comments:
This is a 1979 Corvette: L-48 Engine and Automatic
Transmission. $6,000 OBO - 90,000 miles
The Car is currently red, was Corvette Dark Blue
code 83, with a Black Leather Interior. Code 192.
OPTIONS:
Air-Conditioning, runs great, spent over $1000
rebuilding the systems when we bought the car at one of the best shops in SoCal.
Power Windows.
Power Door Locks.
Rear Window Defogger.
Sport Mirrors.
Automatic Transmission, also rebuilt when we bought the car.
Tile & Telescope steering wheel.
Aluminum Wheels, chrome plated.
Power Antenna, replaced a year ago.
Dual Rear Speakers.
Cruse Control (does not work).
Convenience Group.
T-tops are solid, not glass.
I also think the car has the gymkhana suspension but
am unsure. There is a rear sway bar.
We have an aftermarket CD player in the car. I
think the car had the optional 8-track tape player
when built.
MODIFICATIONS
Very few, this car is basically stock and is complete.
Edelebrock Aluminum heads and intake.
Stereo CD player.
CONDITION & HISTORY
We bought the car about five years ago for our
daughter to drive back and forth to high school. So
that the car would be dependable and safe, we pulled
the engine and transmission and had them both
rebuilt. When they were out we cleaned up the
underside of the car and made sure all gaskets and
seals through the firewall were closed up. The AC
system was rebuilt and a new Corvette Central
exhaust was installed. Also the front end was
rebuilt, tie rods, ball joints etc. Tires have
about half of their tread remaining. Carpet is new,
seats need upholstery. This car just needs to be
taken care of. The hard work has been done the
cosmetics are necessary. We bought the car with
about 60,000 miles showing on the odometer and there
are now 90,000. I have no way of telling if the
clock rolled over or not however I do not think that
it has. I have been under the car and all around
it. There are no signs of it ever having been in
collusion. There is just a nudge on the tip of the
nose. The fiberglass is solid and crack free. The
bonding strips faintly show through the paint (bad
paint but they are complete and true to line which
is actually a very good sign of no body damage.)
We have three other Corvettes and just do not have
the room to keep a fourth.
Price: $6,000.00
Location: Los Alamitos, CA
