1972 Steel Cities Gray T Top
Hi All,
I have a set ( 2 front & 2 rear ) calipers. Now these are used. They were on a 1970-71 or 72 Vette. Stainless steel sleeved. They were from Stainless Steel Corp.
They appear to be in good shape. A little dirty, nothing that brake clean can't take care of. I would like to sell these for a reasonable price + shipping of course. If you are interested, make me an offer. I'm sure someone out there can put them to good use.

Hi wetvet,
I'm Alberto from Milano Italy. new CAC member.
I have a vette like your vette: 1972 t-top steel city gray.
I love vettes and U.S.A.

see my vette in picture attach file in the forums introductions.

see you later!

CAlipers

Robin,
I know shipping will be around 35.00+
So if I could get 30.00 each x 4 = 120.00 + shipping.

Thanks for asking.

Steve

U R Uncommunicative...

Hello Steve: -have E-mailed you twice when you placed your Ad, are you seriously interested in selling this set of Calipers, or have you changed your mind? Please advise....

Vette Brakes

Yes I do have them.

I know shipping will be around 35.00+

If this is good for you, how will you pay for these?

Cashers check, money order, PAY PAL ???

Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
Not sure if you have this worked out with Bob, but if
not...

will the brake Cal's fit a '78 vette?
how many miles are on them- are they "like new"
I'm also interested....

thanks,

Sully

Sully,

Sorry to say these only fit 65 - 82 years vette.

Steve

Sully,
78 is between 65-82...RIGHT:duh

Man What was I Thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:crazy

I would say about 50,000 miles on them. I looks to me that silcon brake fluid was used, so no moisture is inside.
They do have some brake dust on the outside of the castings.
All and all they are in good shape.
These are Stainless Steel Sleeved Brake Calipers from
Stainless Steel Brake Corp. in Buffalo NY. They told me to send them back if I want to and they will rebuild all the inside seals, if needed.
:cool

Thanks for the info Steve-

For a moment there I thought I was going to have to call my
Math teacher from many years ago and have a heart to heart- but no problem...

I'm interested but don't want to step on someone elses toes if they called first...

let me know...

Sully

I do have a reply out to another buyer.
If this sale goes south I will let you know.
You will be 1st in line.

Thanks ,

Steve:cool

-trying to confirm payment...

Steve: -thank you for your direct E-mail, but seem to have lost you again (awaiting direct reply as stated), -but perhaps you are having PC-problems; -please advise my friend...

Reply is on the way.
Sorry for the delay.
:)

-"cheque is in the mail!"...

Steve: -Yes really, found your E-memo here for me, and have sent WesternUnion-moneyorder to your given address my friend; -i suppose you had replaced these heavy/cast-iron oem-calipers with advantageously light-weight aluminum-calipers with s/s-sleeves also; -but these you are selling me will be just fine for my neo-classic 120"-wb '80/Berlina-vette which present brakes have never been touched at 15k-miles...
~Bob Vonheck :cu ;shrug

Steve: -received the set of C3-calipers(w/ss-sleeves) A-OK; -thanks again my friend... ~Bob vH

Great.
Cheers!
