Fuel filter location for 1990 L98?

It was pretty damp out when I looked, so I didn't want to stand around too long out in the rain looking, but I wasn't able to quickly find the fuel filter location for my 1990 coupe with the L98 engine. I had the new one on hand for a size and shape reference, but it illuded me. I also don't yet have a repair manual for it yet to check in (outbid on eBay a few times). Thanks, Tim

If it is the same as my '87, it can be found on the inside of the right frame rail, near the passenger footwell.

It is mounted to the inside of the frame about at front of the pass door. At least thats where mine is.

Location

Jack up the pass side of the car. Use JACKSTANDS to support the weight of the car.

Crawl underneath, as the frame rail begins to make the inward bend ( off the firewall) the filter in neslted in the frame rail with a large clamp to fasten the body.. and 2 threaded ( to pipe ) fittings.

USE A FLARE WRENCH on the pipe fittings, and a seperate wrench to hold the filter.

Have a catch pan ( and a fair amount of rags ) to catch the spilling fuel.

20 min job TOPS!
