While driving on the interstate last night, the engine sputtered and then died. I assumed I was out of gas as the DIC said I only had between 30 and 50 miles to go.

I put 12 gallons of fuel in but to no avail. Engine would not stay running and would not rev higher than 500 rpm prior to stalling. I assume it is either a fuel filter issue or pump. Can anyone give me any advice prior to me draining the tank and removing the muffler, etc.? THANKS

Note: C5 50th with 93k.

I can relate...

Same thing happened to me. It was a fuel pump. It went out because of bad fuel. Started and idled just fine, but fell on it's face when I'd try to go.
