When I removed my fuel tank, I noticed there were 3 fuel lines comeing out of the tank. 2 go up the right side of the chassis and the third runs up the driver side. Now i know one of the lines on the pass. side is a fuel delivery line to the pump, and I'm assuming the other on that side is some sort of return, but what is the the one on the driver side? Any clarification would be much appreciated.

Tom

One of the ones that goes up the passenger's side is the fuel supply, I'm not sure about the second one. The one on the driver's side is from the vapor canister back to the fuel tank.

Passenger side is feed and return, and the drivers side goes to the vapor canister.

cool, thanks guys that is what I thought.

Has anyone out there done there own fuel lines ( i.e. just went and bout a coil of steel tubing and bent it themselves? I dont want to pay fro the custome deals from ecklers or other corvette specific places.

Or maybe all steel braded line for a real professional look?

Any thoughts?

Tom

I recently replaced all of the steel lines that lead to the rear of the car. I just used the apropriate sized steel (brake) lines from a local auto parts store. If you have never fabricated brake lines, you may find the tight turn radius's hard to do without kinking the lines.

Hey Tom, I tried bending my own on an old Firebird restore. No fun. Never could make the proper bends. I plan to go the braided steel line route next time. Peace Bud
