I did a fuel pressure test today, the test showed 48psi running and 55psi not running engine on. Is'nt this too high? I's performance or fuel milage suffering with it this high? does anyone recommend a fuel pressure regulator to turn it down?

Has someone already installed an adjustable regulator?
Try removing the vaccuum line from the regulator when the engine is running at idle. Pressure should rise. If nothing happens something is wrong.
As long as the SES light isn't on the computer is working around the high fuel pressure.
My opinion, it might effect idle or something if the injector pulse width is very far from normal.
