pretty sure its the fuel pump or filter but new to this and just asking.
last night while driving my 1970 c3 suddenly started sputtering and revs dropped off and she died. starts up again and runs if I put my foot into accelerator. but drops off at idle and stops and I can smell unburnt fuel. starts up again ok. so its getting some fuel at least. filled it with fuel yesterday afternoon and she was running ok. n
nearly 100% sure its probably dodgy fuel pump and/or filter?
I can smell unburnt fuel also.
I think probably sucked in some crap and blocked fuel line or filter?
any thoughts.

Take the filter off and check it

yup, did all that today, my second post was an update to this, as I say in second post, I listed things I checked regarding fuel pump/filter.
thanks anyway

You are aware that there is a sock filter installed on the end of the pick-up inside of the gas tank in addition to the filter located just before the carburator?
