FX-3 Finally Fixed on my Z-07
My FX-3 has had the Service Ride Control advisory on the telepanel ever since I bought my Vette over 2 yrs ago. Chevy dealer said rt frnt shock was bad and I replaced it and problem remained. Well I went to Gordon Killebrews workshop at the MidAmerica's FunFest this last friday. He lent me a FX-3 shorting clip for the ALDL connector so I could get the code (31 left front). I drove my Vette over to the tent and he showed me how to remove the shocks actuator. The gear on top of the shock adjustment shaft had sheared its stop and would constantly rotate during the FX-3 startup check sequence. I thanked Gordon for his help and took that bad, now good shock I had on the shelf in my garage and put it on the Vette yesterday. The SRC light is OUT!! and am I a happy camper.
