I was thinking about you and your project,I once did whats called a basket case.(thats not a derogatory term)
BASKET CASE = A car that is completely disasembled, and all of its parts are scattered about in baskets.
Anyways.the best thing you can also do is,start laying out your parts in sub-assemblies.Meaning concentrate on the front exsterior of the car.
So what it the front of the car.
1-left park and right park lamps including the gaskets, mounting hardware, lences, bulbs, harness, rubber body grommet.
2-right and left headlamps assemblies, including bucket to body mounting clips and clutch head screws, head lamps buckets, harness, headlamps pots, mounting hardware head lamp pots to head lamps assemblies, head lamps, headlamp surrounds with ataching hardware to the headlamp buckets,Rubber body grommets.
ETC.ETC. and build the car in your head aquiring all of the material and orginised into different sub assemblies, clean, repair, repaint, rebuild, replace what you need to now before you even start building your car. This way if every thing is orginiesed is just a matter of grabbing a box or a container and putting the car together,
Your going to see that its going to seem like my car is being assembled in record time, but behind the scenes I have hundreds of hours in planning, purchaing, and orginizing my parts into sub-assemblies,Good luck I have alot to say on this subject but dont have the skills to type it .Call me if you want i am on the east coast, drop me an email and I get you my phone number
