I went out to start my'76 yesterday morning...nothing...hooked up the battery charger and turned it on "stun"...started it and took off...no gauges!Fuse was blown...changed the fuse-new one blew immediately...battery gauge eventually started working, even with the blown fuse...but not the fuel, temp,or oil pressure gauges...does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing this...thanks!

Checking your grounds is a good starting point. It seems that you have a short: gauges don't work, you put in a new fuse, there is an easy path to ground, there is too much voltage, fuse blows (better the fuse than the gauges). While checking the grounds you may find something that doesn't belong. Have you done any wiring lately? Maybe a positive and a ground got switched and you're going directly to ground.
