Getting at wheel well from interior

I think I need to go through the interior to get the the driver's side wheel well area to get to a connector of the antenna motor.

I was wondering how I would go about getting through the rug and siding to get at this connector.

Any ideas?

I recently did this on my 82
Remove the drivers seat. (four nuts under the vehicle)
Remove the rear speaker on the drivers side.
Roll down the carpet and push the insulation out of your way.
The grommet that the wires go thru should be right behind the speaker.
