Got most of the stuff done that I wanted prior to taking the car back to Harry for some last minute touch ups. Took the opportunity to snap a few more photos (like I didn't have enough already ha-ha)

I just hope that is isn't so low to the ground that I can't drive it any place.....

:eek Man does that sit perfect. I've been thinking about dropping the '59 so that the air gap above the tires is gone and you just convinced me. How tall are your tires (diameter)?

rear tires are 255R4518 (27" diameter) and fronts are 225R4517 (24.9" diameter).

We also slightly tubbed the inside but so that the soft top will still fit....also I have a non stock rear end (Ford 9") from Myers Racing Products so my axle hub face to face measurement is different (I think) since it was sized based on wheel size I was first oging to use, but changed after the fact.

Thanks Herb. I'll be running 15x6 with a 3.5 backspace and wheelcover nubs from Wheelsmith so width will not be a problem. Just thinking if I can dial in a tad bit of rubber rake.

That's just pure meanness not having at least one engine compartment photo. Just cruel!:drool::drool:

yes I know;LOL.......but it isn't ready to be unveiled YET:upthumbs........stay tuned:beer........

great job guy.:upthumbs
thank you....stopped over to see Harry today and he was rally hustling. They are busting butt on a 32 roadster for a guy (the guys second one that they are doing for him!). There must have been 5 or 6 cars that they had going, between a International Harvester Travelall that some guy wanted the roof chopped 3 inches, to a Cuda on a body dolly to 2 other cars that has just come out of the media blasting booth to mine and then a couple of others.....

At any rate, Harry is making panels to go inside the engine compartment to dress it out further. The stock mud shields would not fit so he has come up with some very clever shields that he has fabricated for both sides of the engine and then he is also coming up with something for the area between the engine and the radiator. He is also coming up with a cover for the electric hood opener and then he will provide some "relief" to the outside of the wheel well so should there be a failure of the motor or electrical problem I can undo the two bolts that hold it on and can then get inside the engine area.

He is also coming up with an additional cover for the electric lift mechanism to shield most of it from view. Not sure if this part will be done in time or not for Carlisle. The plan is for painter extraordinaire Dave to apply his magic on the panels with the same kind of red/clearcoat that he put on everything else. When you look into the motor compartment there will be a sea of red around the motor topped off with the polished slanted stack EFI and chrome plated script Corvette valve covers.

Stay tuned......unless something happens that Bob and his team don't get it running next week I will be at Carlisle with this car!!!!:beer

see the note above.....there may not be any time to post photos prior to Carlisle, it is going to be close.....if you are there, that might be the first time anyone really gets to see it......;LOL;LOL;LOL

know the feeling. when i sat the 57 on the chassis i found out i had to do a little trimming. not too bad though. dr side almost cleared. pass side had to have a little trim work to fit over the a-arm mount. i just love leaning over fenders:D
