glass targa tops...early vs late

I have a crack and some heat damage in the glass top that came on my '92 coupe. Have a chance to buy a used top that came from an '84. Need some advice from someone that knows....Are the tops interchangeable between all the C4's, early and late models? Thanks....Rick W

3 dif. top mountings.
84- early 86
late 86 - 88
89- 96.
The 84 top will not fit. You can buy the hardware to make it fit if you want. It only takes about an hour to change. Guy
