I'm looking for a set of black GM seat belts for my 74 coupe. I dont really want aftermarket belts or any cheap replacements if i can find the GM belts. I've searched Ecklers, Mid America, Corvette America, Rik's Corvettes, Zip Corvettes, Vette Specialties, Volunteer Vette and others....I still cant find any. If anyone knows where i could find a set, please let me know. Thanks.

Thanks fpr the tip on the seat belts. im calling them as sson as they open this morning... I cant find a seat/ shoulder harness assembly for my 79... Im tired of tripping over it every time I get out!!

thanks you guys. i have a set of GM belts in my car but the buckles, the retractors and everything need to be replaced...but if they do rebuilds of them, i'll probably send my belts to them.

They don't do rebuilds as I found out this morning.

However they recomended a place in Texas called 'Snake Oil Products" (Love the name.) I called and they were real helpful..... They do seat belt repairs and are very inexpensive.

Their phone number is 1 800 284 7777.

Im sending out my drivers side assembly which no longer retracts.... they'll fix it for $35... cant beat it!

youcould check out "snakeoyl", im not sure if thats the correctspelling, i had mine re-done by them, did a very good job. a bit pricey, but if you want original. they are in texas, dont remember exact address. if you want ill go through my reciepts and get phone #

woobie, gregc11514 has posted the phone number to snakeoyl above. thanks for your help!

Try Snakeoyl. You wouldnt know it by the nme, but they make new belts and reto old ones.

I have yet to call snakeoyl, im doing so tomorrow but i was curious if anyone knows if they replace belts:confused because my passenger side seat belt was stuck in the buckle and after trying to remove it and greasing it to remove it, the belt still would budge...so...we sorta just...cut the belt...:J

I just got home yesterday and I called Snake Oil today. They were very friendly and they've fixed my problems! I am sending my belts out tomorrow to have fixed. Thanks for the help everyone!:upthumbs

I'll have to check this out too cause my retractors are rusted and my belts won't come out.

Just called Snake Oil again. They'll also fix buckles but I only need new boots for the buckles. Does anyone know where I can buy these instead of having to send them off also?
