I replaced the air dams on my 88 about 10 years ago. I wish I could remember if there was a trick to it but it seemed like all I did was unbolt the old and put on the new. Depending on how bad yours are scratched up, you might now worry about doing it. After 10 years mine look as bad as the ones I took off. Too many driveways and concrete parking blocks.

Wish I could be of more help. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Welcome onto the boards there...

Going BANANAS? Yikes. Going bananas is a real stinker. uGh.

Anyway, why did you 'HAVE TO' give up the Harley? Those 'HAVE TO' deals are usually a step down...

FSM has EVERYthing. I bet any pics that anyone uploads will NOT show as much as FSM schematic. Getting familiar with FSM takes SERIOUS reading discipline, TAGGED markers, etc...

(and when you post, you ARE allowed to make more than one paragraph).

They are pretty simple to swap out. You will need to get the front end of the car up in the air with jacks or put it on a hoist. Then just unbolt the old one and bolt on the new. It will take about half an hour if the bolts aren't too stubborn.

air dam in depth pics

tnx for the reply schrade i do have the fsm and it does show some detail but not real in depth pics. it doesnt even show the lower valance panel. think i can just take some pics before i start taking apart.the reason i was hoping on some pics some of my existing parts are missing..3 surgeries on my neck resulted in no motion in turning my head..so it was a safety issue..c ya jerry
