Seems descent to me. That is offcourse all in how it was maintained and how it looks today. I recently saw a 97 pewter coupe for sale for 17k. The add didn't show mileage. However you have a vert which should pull more, and red which is more of a corvette color. I dont think you could get hurt. If you buy to keep I think you should be okay.
It sounds good to me and l'm probably the biggest ball buster out there.
The only thing that l would do is grab my checkbook and run like mad, but l would have a car-fax in my hand and have it checked out for accidents and the usual stuff, but it sounds to good to be true. Look for a dead body in the trunk.
Only kidding, sounds like a good deal for both the seller and the buyer if everything checks out. But don't be too picky you are making a good deal and if it costs you a couple of bucks you are still in good shape.
I paid 19900 for a 97 with 69000 miles and have not been dissapointed, put @1400 miles on it last week came close to 30 mpg on the return trip.
