'89 auto vette :). I did a search but didn't find much.... Basically, after a full (and I mean FULL) tune up I'm still looking for a bit more acceleration.

Exhaust/intake/ignition is where I plan to start, one thing I wanted to know is if the muffler setup from Corvettecentral (#324437) would be a good upgrade along with a high flo cat and a good set of headers K&N filter+gutted air box??? (suggestions please?). Or am I gunna have to dump $700+ in to a fancy borla cat back setup?

That's pretty much all I plan to do on this till I can save up for a C5 to keep this C4 company :) .

Thanks all,oh and LT4man I understand the "save the wave" now, and believe me I will :beer .

I have put that muffler setup on my 88 sounds real good and saves some weight. I havent done anything else to the car. But the sound and weight savings are worth it,,looks better too

I'm thinking similar stuff for my 89, I'd like to follow this thred. Keep us posted - pics are welcome too. =]

Which manifold are you looking at - the Accel high rise with big-mouth port tubes?

It may also be a good time to re-cam, and replace those valve springs with the tricky helical-wound ones that prevent valve-float and allow higher rpm's.

Set of long tube headers and good catback. I have the TPIS long tubes, and the fit and install was pretty straight forward.

Or you can go with a rear Y pipe from TPIS and get a set of mufflers of your choice. I have a pair of dynomax's for sale.
