Good garage around San Jose, CA?

I'm only a semi-backyard mechanic. I'll do simple stuff myself. But anything more involved I'd like to have a real mechanic do it.

I'm wondering where a good place to do that is, though.

I think there's one or two corvette specialty shops around here. But I don't know if they're any good. And I'm not sure what their names are.

I used to take my Blazer to this 76 station near here that seems to be a good place. But I'm thinking maybe the vette would be out of their league.

I don't feel inclined to go to a dealer after having a house mate that worked as a mechanic at one. He did a pretty good job himself. But a lot of his co-workers were pretty poor and did shoddy work. Seems like a total crap shoot there. You're likely to pay bloated prices for work that's just as bad as anywhere else.

I dunno. Advice?

Burlingame

Well as a matter of fact, after a few weeks of un-successful luck trying to keep my 89 running, I found this place in Burlingame where I will be TOWING mine to.

YES...that is the one. The place is pretty good. he owns a buck of vettes, 2 C-4's, 1- 72 and just bought a new one. He's booke dup until the 20th, so my car sits pretty in my driveway until then. It actually started yesterday, then of coarse stalled within 30 seconds. Sounded good !!!!

There's a place called Corvette Connection in Campbell. They've done all the work on my car so far and I've been happy with it. I've also heard about race street but haven't gone there for anything yet.
