Hi Folks -

I decided to take 1/2 the day off and work on some outside web work today (since our network was so slow today I could not get anything done at the office anyhow...)

When I left work it was windy - gusty, but high 60's and sunny.

About an hour and a half later, I heard the **** hitting the fan (or the side of the house anyway ) -

I got out the camera and took one crappy vid, and a few pics -

The hail was from quarter to half-dollar sized....I got my truck inside just in time!

We also got a lot of that here in Chicagoland. Earlier in the day it was sunny and in the 70's. I was driving my car with the t-tops out and a little later in the afternoon we got that hail off and on. Haven't come across any damage to my car as of yet. Good to hear that the vettes were inside :D

Whoa!! :eek
That would have left a mark. Good thing you weren't out driving when it started.

Cool video too.

a few years ago i got stuck in a really bad hail storm in my brand new dodge ram sport 4x4.:mad when the hail was coming down it was so loud that my wife and i couldn't hear each other even when yelling. it did a lot of damage to the truck.

i've always wondered how hail affects fiberglass cars...i guess it can crack the body.:ugh

Wow!
Thanks for sharing.

We don't see a lot of that here in South Florida.

This past weekend we were up in Ball Ground Georgia ( little tiny town) visiting some friends.
There was a small hail storm Saturday afternoon, but the hail was not as big as in your pics.
Our friends told us that a while back a hail storm damaged a bunch of new cars at a new car stealership.
The cars were so bad that they were sold to the public very cheaply.

Best regards,
Pedro
