i just bought a set of the new goodyear f1 gs d3. the new agressive look of the treads is great, but they seem taller than my old f1 tires. they also have a "rim saver" lip of rubber extending out past the rim that doesn't look that good. when i went to have the allignment done the shop told me that their equipment can't attatch to the rim so they have to attach to the inside of the rim and it leaves 4 1/8" scratches on the inside of the each rim. does any company or shop have the equipment to allign these type of tires?

I recently bought new rims and the Goodyear F1's. I had a friend mount and balance them for me, but he did not do an alignment. He needed to balance the tires on the inside of the rim with wights with tape on the bottom side. I don't think the weights will scratch the rims when removed, but I could be wrong. I can send you a pic if you'd like to see them. Hope this helps!
