Goodyear tire- date manufactured

Folks,
Is there a number on my Goodyear Radial GT tires that show when the tire was made. I have this particular tire on my '78 Pace car and I know they made these in the late 70's early 80's but I would like to know if that info can be obtained from the tire itself.

I'd like to know if the tires are original and/or how old they are.

I'm not sure about Goodyears, but my old BF Goodrich tires had a "born on" date stamped on the inner sidewall mine read (04/88) Yikes!!

Sully, on the back side of the tire there is a stamp with a set of numbers that will be inside an "oval". This appears to be "heat stamped" or molded into the tire. It's about 1/2" tall by about 2". The last three or four digits is what tells the date. If you see "0168", that will be the 16th week of 1978. If you see something like "0397", that would be the 39th week of 1977.
