got quote to install side pipes good or no?

he said it would be 500.00 to install the headers and sidepipes is that a good price or should I keep looking??

I saw you are a student for auto body, talk to your shop teacher and see if you can make it a class project. the install is not a bad project and there is even some "bodywork" needed. (trimming of the rocker panels). the hardest part will be removing the old exhaust. the instructions that come with the headers and pipes(if you are using Hookers are very good, get the front end up as high as you can with jack stands and they will snake in fine.
save your money for more parts and do the work yourself.

Absolutely do it yourself. This is an easy upgrade/mod that you could do yourself in less than a day. The most work would be removing the old exhaust system. Save your money for other upgrades.
