Well after waiting forever for the weather to break I finally got the new 406 back in the 57' after the little mishap I had in Watkins Glen last fall.

Figured while it was out might as well do a little portwork on the heads and try a new solid roller. Man it felt good to hear it come back to life.:D After hearing that cam thunping away I'm glad I didn't switch to the new LS6. My C5 sounds pretty nasty with the big cam, but with the new firing order it just isn't the same.:lou

The thing I hate most about starting over in the Spring is finding everything you put somewhere you would easily remember in the Fall:W :W :W

Get a sound clip of it. I want to hear that monster!!:cool

Glad to hear you got her running again. Can you tell us a little more about the motor?

Sound clip ? I just got the hang of pictures. Maybe next year :D

Its a 406 SBC 400 4bolt block with Crower crank and rods. Wiseco 10.75:1 full floating pistons. A big Comp Cams solid roller (don't have specs with me at work.) Mildly ported Dart 220 heads. Victor Jr. and Holley 750 DP

Before the new cam it dynoed 456 rwhp. The first cam was a nitrous cam as I was setting it up for a 300 shot. I'm hoping for around 470 ish at the wheels.

Sub 3000 lb car and 450 + rwhp = :D :lou

I like those big cube small blocks. Sounds like allot of thought went into the choice of components. She must have allot of torque too.
