As the title states, the wife said go ahead and do it. For all of us married guys out there know, if she's not happy, your not going to be happy. Looking for some help on making the best purchase. Thinking of going with a centrifugal supercharger since from my understanding it will fit under a stock hood and seems to be more efficient until you gun it. Besides the basic upgrades the C5 is a stock motor. I don't really want to get real crazy with power on a stock bottom end, if anything might even go smaller on the pulley for only 5-6 psi. I've heard a lot about A&A so I'm thinking of going with them. Any advice, help, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! A big jump from were the vette is now on top of the cost for a complete kit.

I am no expert, but a centrifugal will be easier on the drive train. The "roots" style will produce more torque and may have some long term issues with oiling from what I understand. Of course if you had a C6 and not a C5, Edlebrock makes a killer underhood system, that is not a centrifugal but looks cool as anything. There are a few companies that are offering complete installs for around $6,000 which includes a tune, which you will need. Good luck, I would be interested how it turns out, you should see a 150-175 HP increase. :beer

Congrats!

Yeah, securing buy-in like that is priceless... and very important!

Smaller pulley = greater boost. The factory kit I received from Procharger came with a 4.5" pully and peaked boost around 6.5 lbs. Good luck! It's a whole nother animal :thumb

What should one expect to pay for the labor to install a super charger?

Thank you

I have seen the complete install advertised, including the parts and labor, for about $6500 - $7000.

I hope they will make one for a C5

Andy Green and A&A Corvettes rock !! You won't be disappointed, just plan on upgrading your drivetrain.
