got the motor all cleaned up, ready for paint and the oil pan primed up yesterday so today I got 5 coats of paint on the motor.
What a difference!!
I can't wait to start putting all the newly refinished parts back on it next.

I just got the pics from today up on my site if interested in seeing them. Scroll down towards the bottom of the page on this link to see todays painting pics.

Looks good Barry...makes me jealous! Thats gonna look awesome tucked in between those fenderwells.

Make sure you run a tap in all those bolt holes before you start screwing in stuff.

DAMN, you're fast - and GOOD. Great job, Barry! -John

thanks everyone :)

I'm starting to put some parts back on the motor today. At least as many as I can.
I ordered a LOT of stuff from Dr. Rebuild yesterday but they said it was going to be a week until the order ships so I'm going to hit a delay, but at least I can get started reassembling some stuff like the starter motor, new sparkplugs, ignition wires, boomarangs, ignition wire clips and brackets, heat shields, oil and coolant sensors, and the crankshaft pully.
The rest of the items, especially the "big' items will have to wait until my order somes in as I need to wait for the intake manifold gaskets to put the intake on and I need the new french locks to install the exhaust manifolds and the hold up on both those items also hold up most other items that use the same boltholes to mount brackets for things like the alternator, AIR pump, etc.
Oh well, I'll do what I can and than start working on the frame and engine bay on the car. If i'm lucky i'll get the frame and engine bay completed by the time the Cr. Rebuild order comes in so I can finshed assembing the motor than be ready to drop her in

Damn Barry.
Everytime i turn around, you got something else done on the car.. Once you're finished with it (next month?), interested in a 82ce makeover ? :L

Good job !! Just envy talking.. :upthumbs

i'm trying to get the car done as quickly as possible. i'm hoping that two weekends from now I can drop the motor back in and than get it over to the paint shop for a new paint job.

thanks :)

the valve covers, intake, exhaust manifolds, etc all came out looking really nice so the motor should look pretty good once it's back in the car.

I just hope I can manage to do a halfway decent job on the engine bay area.
