Hey guys, My pipes came today and im tryin to put them on, besides the problem of my dipstick not wanting to come out i only had 1 question...... (so far)

the side pipes themselves, how do they mount to the body, i mean i can see, but were there supposed to be supplied bolts? or do i fabricate my own mount w/bolts? do i drill into the frame?

They should have come with a t-type of bolt that fits in a hole under the rocker panels, call them up and tell them to get on the ball and send you 4 of them.

I think the dipstick is only a press fit item, it was on my new motor and wasn't hard to get on/off. You should be able to work it out, maybe shoot some WD-40 around it where it mounts.

awesome, got the dipstick out and the right side on, looks good, the side pipe is out of round tho so ill have to make it round to fit over the header...... ill give hooker a call and see whats up....... ordered from summit so ill try them first.... thanks scott, since your car is the one that got me hooked on the hookers

Make sure you put a good coating of anti-sieze on the inside of the sidetubes when putting them on, it will help to keep them from sticking together...you'll have to clean some of it off when you fire it up the first couple times but it helps to use it. Use a rubber mallet to open them up, use it gently too as they usually aren't too bad. One more suggestion, DON'T, I repeat, DON'T use the screw thing on the sidetubes to clamp them down tight unless you never want them to come off again, or at least have a heck of a time prying them loose. I bought a set of 4" step clamps and will be grinding the loops off and using the step clamps to secure the sidetubes. The clamps are generally available from auto parts stores or truck shops. Email me if you need a picture of one, I got stainless ones.

I bought mine from Summit too, they came with ALL the hardware so make them send it free!

Glad I could be a "bad" influence, and my mom said I would never amount to anything :D :L
