I got the wheels coming from Summit, they had the best price by far over a number of different sources I looked at.....one of the things I will need to get at some point are tires for the wheels ( I will want to get them AFTER I have the front and rear end changed out and have set the body back down on the car and made sure they don't stick out and look stupid!).....so, ideas on some great looking tires and sizes to fit:

17X7" Cragar SS rims
17X8" Cragar SS rims

Here is a photo of the wheel off the Summit site....

ideas??????

I'm curious. Are those the new Cragar alloy wheels or are they steel? Cragar has an alloy version but i cannot find anyone who sells them?
Thanks
Sal

Diamond Red Line Radials....
for a 17" wheel???? not what I had in mind at all......I am looking for a tire with attitude......that is what I would consider too much of a classic tire.....and while the car will have classic lines, that is the end of the classic.......

You know I am no designer ,but I would think you have the classic look with he cragers and you you put on a modern low profile agressive looking tire like you have on your C5 But with some crazy agressive tire tread making the statement this car is built to handle,

yup.....so what kind of tires? Michelin Pilots? Suzuki Do-dads?

Wkich car are they going on?
I have pirellis on my C5 and really like them p-zero nero or something like that non runflats pretty agressive tread design.

they will be going on my C1....60 vette......I know run flats take a beating in reputation....but it might be agood thing for me to have run flats particularly if I don't carry a spare....the run flat thought wasn't something I was thinking of...but I wonder if they come for 17X7 and 17X8 wheels......
