i have had my 86 vette for about a month now, and all is going well. the guy i got it from just had a new exhaust system put on, and new radiator too which keeps the water temp right around 185 so i didn't think any thing else. well the other day i curbed my lower front spoiler again, i still can't judge were it is parking in front of curbs? well the other day taking it off to fix again i noticed some crap sticking out of some of the plastic planel. well last night i took the top cover off the radiator and low and behold even after some place put in a new radiator they were to lazy to take all the leafs and other crap out between the radiator and a/c condensor??? it was few inches deep, got the wet dry vac and now it gone.
sorry for being so long with this, but i see alot of guys talking about high temps, and pass this on, this is some thing that dosen't help with cooling! so some guys that don't know how old or how well there radiator was taken car of, i would spend a few bucks a get a new one, it cheaper then a head, intake job onr even a new engine!
wave on!!

That is terrible!:L:L:L They went through the work of putting in a new radiator but didn't take the extra 2 minutes to clean the radiator area!:L

C-4's are bottom feeders. You have to check it often, even the front for trash like plastic bags.

I have to check the mouth of my C4 regularly. Got to swerve every time I'm driving down the road and see trash ahead. It's like a vacuum cleaner.

I was taking a friend for a ride a few weeks ago and drove over a plastic bag on the road. When we got back to my friend's house, I got out and reached under the nose, up into the radiator intake, and pulled out the bag. My friend was laughing and said it must be a vacuum cleaner.

The other day a saw a piece of paper coming towards me and whoop, it went under the car and did not come out the back. I drove a little further and the temps started to rise, when I stopped I checked the rad and there it was dead center on the rad a full piece of paper.

These things a the best street cleaners around.
