Have an issue with my gauge cluster , namely my fuel and temp gauges.
I did a interior resto and when I reinstalled the cluster, musta hit something and the printed circuit board smoked up... (all gauges were fine before this) I replaced the circuit board and now the fuel gauge stays at full and the temp gauge pegs at start up , I'm thinking the ground to these two are faulty ... If thats the issue how would I check it? Could I just hit the ground terminal with a grounded wire ??
ANY ideas greatly appreciated !!
The rest of the gauges are fine

Thanks!

AH-HA!!! the electrical gremlins strike again!!!!

best thing to do is go back thru, take it back apart,
and recheck every thing you did.....it could be something as simple as a bad connection,or a bad ground.

Bill is right. My oil temp gauge was pigged. I was already thinking about ordering a new one but took everything apart and back the same way and now it's working again...

Greetings Peter
