Guldstrand rear suspension installation (PICS)

Here's few pics of my Guldstrand 5-bar installation,

Here's how much is required to remove to make the upper control arm clear the frame. I could have just made a bulge shape patch to gover up that, but I like to do things the hard way...:D

Hole big enough for ya? :D Notice the shape how we did the cutting. It'll give us much stronger welds that way.

Time to cover up that nasty hole. Here you see how much I widened the frame above the trailing arm pockets. NOw I get all the clearance I need.

The sides requires also a lot of attention to make them right (I had to do both sides exactly the same ;) ). Two different pieces went to each side, it's much easier to get it into right shape with seperate pieces.

Here's the frame rail in 99% final form, still needs some buffing to smooth it out. It's super strong now, it clears the 5-bar, looks ok so I say mission accomplished!

Thats some cool stuff. I just recenty got a corvette magazine ( I let you know witch one that has a custom car with what looks like a simular rear set up in it.

I have some gulfstrand peices in my car ,The best I can describe them is pricey,Well worth it but pricey
