;helpTOOK MY VETTE IN FOR INSPECTION AND OIL CHANGE AND...MY MECHANIC TELLS ME THAT MY HAZARDS AND BRAKE LIGHTS ARE OUT AND NOT WORKING. HE CHANGED THE FUSE 20AMP AND IT KEPT POPPING. HE PASSED IT ANYWAY AND TOLD ME TAKE IT HOME AND TRY TO FIGURE IT OUT. GIVING THE FACT HE OWNS A FEW VETTES HIMSELF C1,C2,C3,C4,C5 ETC. GOOD GUY!:thumb IT WAS WORKING WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN. THE ONLY THING I DID RECENTLY WAS I TOOK THE CLUSTER OUT TIGHTENED ALL HARDWARE AND REPLACED IT. CAN I HAVE DONE SOMETHING TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN? WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP AND WHAT SHOULD I DO? :confused

ANY SUGGESTION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!;help

Instant blow of the fuse means you have a short to ground somewhere.
Only way to find is to follow the wires from fuse to lights.Given you have played around with the dash you may have screwed something up there so that would be the first place to look.

FOOLING AROUND WITH THE CAR AND FOUND THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL SWITCH HAD GONE BAD. REPLACED IT AND NOW ALL IS WELL (FOR THE TIME BEING.LOL) ANY QUESTIONS CONTACT ME.:w:thumb;)

Good deal :thumb
