Hankook Tires

Interesting. I've never seen anything made in Korea that was right, save kimchi.

Given the two choices, that is backwards!! :D Isn't Kimchi rotten cabbage leaves that sit in a pot buried in the backyard for a couple of months?? :puke

Hankook is a popular race tire in SCCA. There were some pretty quick Miatas running the autocross Hankook tire. They do make a 275/40-17 tire for autocross but I don't know too much about their street tires.

I have a set of Kumho Estca MX's on my 87 for autocross and track use and they are very close to the level of performance of the BFG KD tire for about 60% of the cost.

I have a set of their Ventis 255/50/17's on 17 x 8 Torq Thrust II's. They were a struggle for the local Goodyear to mount on the rims and balance. But the tire guy was a sandwich short of a picnic.

It's a pretty hard compound tire that seems to grip well and wear well. For the price, their not a bad choice. Cool tread pattern too. I picked up 4 from Roadway Tire in Fla. for $94 each.
