Hey guys/gals,
I tried this tpoic here before and hope by now one of you smart folks have figured this out.
The accessory plug found behind the toe-kick panel on the C5 was ELIMINATED in 2004. I even checked with the plant and this plug is definitely NOT installed in 04's.
This means for those of us who hard wired our Valentine 1's there, we now have to find a new power source.
SO - - I seek a place to pick up switched power and a ground wire nearby so I can hard-wire the V-1. Someone suggested the mirror wiring, but I can't get at it with my big fat fingers.
Wonder if I could somehow get at the wires in the sun visors ? Anybody tried this for a detector ?
Anybody figure out how to hard-wire a V1 yet ?
Thanks,
Mort
PS - My local chevy Dealer offerred to install an accessory plug for only $250.00. ! ! There's got to be a better way than giving them $250.00
