Just wondering if anyone has fitted an Edelbrock Q Jet carb to their baby as a replacement carb?

I have recently purchased one via ebay for my 81 Coupe, it arrived today and I am wondering if anyone has one fitted one and how it is running on the car?

Cheers

Tony

I just put one in my '77; it took 15 minutes from start to finish--fit like the original. I did have to adjust the auto kick-down linkage a little.

I have the 1903 with the hot air choke. I ended up buying the electric choke kit (should have bought the 1904).

Mine runs good, but I did have to play with it alot to get it right. I think that is true for any carb out there. There are just too many engine combo's possible to expect anything else.

The one thing I do not like about these carbs is that they use the "truck" primary rods. The old Q-Jet primary rods all had .026" tips. The Edel carbs have .036" tips, so you don't have as much enrichment from idle to WOT, but that can be compensated for by using different rod/jet combos.
