Header options

[L88 crazy]

Hey there!

The time has come for me to install side exhaust on my 72 Vette but I have a tiny problem. I have a 350 SBC in it with stock manifolds and the infamous standard rear exhaust. I don't know what headers I should use, shorties, standards etc. It seems there are so many kinds of headers I lost my way. I don't want to drop macho $$$$$ for this side exhaust project. I want headers that are tough enough to handle daily driving conditions. No need for fancy, fancy ones. I am currently in the process of restoring this beauty and I'd like some mods. Anyone got Header shopping advice for me?

Hooker Header sidepipes
I went the cheap route and got the black painted ones and every year I have to repaint them If I had to do it again I would have bought the powdercoat version

I installed HOOKER ceramic coated on my 72 from summit approx 325. Install was very easy. They look great. My car has the 4-speed manual trans. Once again nice fit easy install.

header options

i have an 81 L81 i put heddman headers on it plain janes no ceramic and they sound great and pumped up the performance im not sure if they will hook str8 up to side pipes but in sure there is an adapter for your needs

use Mr Gasket copper gaskets for the headers and get the collectors welded to the headers to cut down on any leaks
