Currently running Borla stingers, they sound great. If I add headers and X-pipe, what can I expect with both HP and sound changes. I've heard that the X-pipe will reduce backpressure therefore lowering low end torque. Wondering also how much different will it sound?

HI there,
Tone changes alot.
If I were a betting man, I would say your numbers should be around 350-360 horse at the wheels.
This is considering long tube headers, not shorties.
Allthebest, c4c5

Thanks, would I have to mess with the computer? I like to keep things simple.

Also, what about losing low-end torque. I'm either going to do the header and x-pipe or put in 3:42's with a torque converter. What would you do C4C5. Currently have the 3:15 option.

I have been researching headers for several months. I would suggest that you do need a tune post installation, because the engine will be running much richer. The tune will also get you an additional 10-20 HP over just the straight header installation as well. Right now, top contenders on my list are LG, Stainless Works and Kooks. The Dynatech installations have run into some problems so I am avoiding them unless Dynatech fixes the problems. Kooks also are hard to install, but Nick stated they are trying to tweak the design for easier installation. LG's use SIMs for the rear O2's, and some of them have O2 heater issues after installation. No major issues with SW from what I have seen, but am not sure of the power gain with them either. Trade-off's no matter what you decide.
