Last year I installed the Corsa Indy Pace car exhaust system with there X-pipe along with a Blackwing intake system. I really like the sound of the system so I'd like to keep the Corsa exhaust. I'd like to get rid of the remaining restrictions in the header and cat area.

There are a bunch of reputable manufacturers, I'm just wondering what some of you have installed for headers and cats and your thoughts on the subject.

Basically, I'd like to keep the Corsa system so I'd like a header system that will basically bolt in place with no cutting or welding.

Just looking in some of the catalogs it looks like the systems from TPIS and Random Technologies has what I'm looking for.

Also, when I switch to headers what can I expect in sound level changes?

Appreciate any input.

I've heard random technologies name for cats but for headers, the best reviews I've ever heard were from SLP's length tuned headers. I have no actual experiance with either though.

Ryan,

Thanks for your input. The more I research the subject the more complicated it gets. Now I find that replacing your cat converter before 5 years is supposedly illegal. Also I'm afraid that with all the sensors on the vette feeding the computer I'm afraid that by making the wrong choice I'm going to wind up with my vette not running right, and throwing out error codes.
Actually, the car runs great as it is, maybe I should leave well enough alone.

Another option I suppose would be to find a good performance shop that knows Corvettes and have them make reccomendations and do the work. Anyone know of a good shop in or close to Connecticut?

Hey RocketJ,

as for the illegal thing, that may be true (I dunno). But the high flow cats are made to be street legal so you should be fine as far as running correctly. Whereever you buy these cats or headers should be able to sway your concerns.

Bigdogg, did you install the headers & cats after the Borlas were installed or did you do the whole job at once. If the Borlas were on the car first I'm wondering about the difference in the sound level. I understand that installing headers can increase the sound level in after market systems.

I installed the headers after borlas as the sound level is louder when you get on it but just cruising down the road above 2000 rpms it is actully quieter in the car.
