Hey all,

I finally diagnosed my RH headlamp problem. The whole assembly sits about 1/2" below where it should be. Comparing it to the LH side, which is in good shape, I found that the bracket that bolts to the wheel well is broke in half! This is NOT the actual headlamp assembly bracket. Its the bracket that that attaches to. Make sense? How should I fix this? If this bracket is not easy to replace, I'll probably end up bonding the top of the headlamp bracket to the bottom of that edge of the front clip just forward of the hood. Any suggestions???

What I'm asking about is what the headlamp support bracket mounts to. It also has a support rod coming from somewhere around the center of the radiator support(?) I also found that whatever this rod was bolted to has rusted out. The bottom end of the rod hangs free with the bolt still through the rusted chunk of metal. (That can't be good) What was it connected to? Anyone know for sure? Would I have to remove the whole headlight assembly to replace the main bracket that spans the width of the front clip?

there are three supports to the Header Bar (which holds the headlight assemblys) one round rod which bolts to the radiator core support in the center and one Header bar support bracket on either end which bolts to the wheel house. the brackets are relative cheap and available. the radiator support is also availabe and in the $300+ range new. I have the (end) brackets if you need them since my header bar was beyond repair and I made a new one of aluminum and mounted rectanguler lights. they are $13.00 +shipping

I am located just south of the Michagin line if you are not far we can get together I have had this part of my car apart, and although it is not my favorite job I may be able to help.
