Headlamp warning light intermittent on problem

Hi guys

On my 69, the center console headlamp warning light intermiuttently comes on and off, whether the lights are up/on or down/off. The lights work fine, but the warning light comes on regardless.

Anybody have this before? Loose wire or short? Suggestions for best path to track it down?

There is a plastic switch mounted by the headlight each door. They tell you the lights are on but the bucket isn't up. Remove the light bezel and look for a loose or broken switch.

Roll up under the car and look through the round/oval cutouts and you can see the switches also mounted on the linkage.

Don't tighten that nut too tight or it'll break the plastic switch, trust me, I know.
These switches aren't cheap either so I'll do without the little light telling me the headlights are coming up. Big deal.
