Went to adjust me passenger side headlight today as when it opens it sits about 7/8" below flush.
Seemed to be simple enough, just adjust to open limit.
But when i checked it the open limit (L bracket) it was still around 1/4" from stopping the headlight from opening.
From what i could see the only thing stopping it from opening up further was the actuator link.
Any ideas what adjustments need to be made? or parts that may need replacing?

For the open limit the only things you have are the open limit L bracket and the mechanisme itself. You can also unwind the cast piece (that is in front of the steel shaft). When you unwind it it further opens the assembly. :)

Greetings Peter

Have tried it with the clevis (this is what you are meaning right?) not connected. But it still doesn't open any further.

finally got around to having a decent look at what was going on.
i found i could almost get it to open fully, but then it would close enough, so tried adjusting the close limit only to fine that someone had broken the bolt for this in the past:mad.
Ordered a new bolt and link, pulled everything apart and found that the support for the entire headlight unit had been broken and was sitting lower than it should at the front:mad. time to order new parts again. that should get everything done this time.

It explains why you couldn't get the adjustment right. But still f*cked up the entire thing is broken!
Good luck with finding a new one for a decent price :)

Greetings Peter

One of mine had a broken bolt tab and I had it welded. At this point you have nothing to lose.
