Was wondering if there is an adjustment for how far the headlights come up. The driver side light comes up to far and gets stuck. Sometimes I have to pull up on it to get it to close. The passenger side sits flush and is ok other than it is the last to open when turning on.Not sure if this is normal either. Thanks for answering a first owners question.

Yes, there is a stop you can adjust... impossible to describe... but if you mannually feel around as you rotate the assembly you will find it.

is the stop under the front or rear of the light assembly?

how does the lamp assembly fit to the nose when closed?? is it flush or is it raised?? if it is raised. then the adjustment nut is at the end of the clevis bracket (the same "elbow" you probably pulled down to lower the assembly when it got "stuck" up). if it already fits flush with the nose when lowered, then that doesn't need adjustment and won't help you out.

Jeff,

It's not part of the assembly... its a tab bolt sticking out behind the mechanism. You should be able to see it if you hold the unit half way open. It should have a black plastic pad on it, but that could also be long gone. There's a nut on the back side you will need to loosen. Unscrew the bolt once you get the nut loose to make the mechanism open less, or screw it in to make it open farther.

Or you can cruise up here and I can show you!

still not sure what I'm looking at. Was looking at it from underneath and all I could see that has adjustments is the the threaded rod from the actuator and on the bracket. Looking at some diagrams from corvette central to help me. Still waiting to get my manuals I ordered. The assembly sits a little lower than flush but not much more than the other one. I'm sure when I find that screw I'll have it.

Jeff,

Try this:

-Pop your hood.
-Push up the headlight assembly.
-Look down and in between the hood and the fiberglass between the hood and assembly...towards the corner of the fender.
-You should see something that looks like the attached photo.

That's the stop adjustment... it controls how much the assembly opens.

is the adjustment made from the top or underneath the car? I'm looking ( I think ) where you indicated and don't see anything like you posted. I'm attaching a pic of the underneath of the assembly.

Jeff,

The adjustment can only be reached from the top. You have to pop your hood and look infront of the hood as it is up... down in between the headlamp and the hood.

I can walk you through it if you want... PM me your phone #.
