Need help - Its been a long time coming but, I am in the final assembly stages of my 66 coupe. I had no clue as to the screws needed for the headlight bezels so, I ordered new ones from ZIP. Got them and the kit came with 4 machine type screws and 4 self-tapping type screws. I thought they should all be the same. They are small and black. I am confused. Also, what screws are used on the vents at the base of the windshield?

Thanks for any help.

I'm assuming the screws are probably the same as on the '65's? According to my '65 TIM&JG it says:

The bezels attach to the housing at each side with "a cadminum or zinc plated flat-head Phillips screw (1 per side) and at the bottom (when open) with two black oxide flat-head Phillips screws".

on the WS wiper vents, the screws are listed as "black Phillips screws with an unpaited black u-shaped clamp nut

hope this helps a little. sorry, it doesn't say anything about machine screws or self-tapping

Thanks Barry - I don't think I got the right ones. I appreciate the physical descriptions. I am going to pull out the bucket of unknown piceses and see what I can find.
