I give up! What are the symptoms you guys see when the stops are bad and need replaced?

Bump stops

If and when you need to replace the nylon gears in the headlight door, at the same time just replace the bump stops, 1 symptom is the headlight door goes down and then goes back up. These bump stops are made of rubber or something like that. they just wear out after time.

When I changed out the plastic gears with the brass gears, I saw that the bump stops were worn on just one side. All I did was slide them off and reversed them, good as new after that.
