Headlight Insulators

My Drivers side headlight will close normally, then pop up half way. The small plastic stop, (Headlight Insulator part # 16524060) to stop the motor travel is worn. My local GM dealer said the part was no longer available. The entire headlight bracket must be purchased. This is unacceptable. This was a $6 part. Has anyone found these elsewhere? I checked Echlers and Mid America with no luck. Does anyone have an alternate fix? I appreciate the help.

I had the same issue a few months ago. I made one from the tip of an old paint brush handle and a dremel drill. I used epoxy to help hold it on the little tab.
